Reviewer Guidelines

Introduction

The ITX Journal of Information Technology & Computer Science highly values the contribution of reviewers in maintaining the scientific quality, integrity, and academic standards of the journal. All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer-review process to ensure fairness, confidentiality, and scholarly excellence.


Reviewer Responsibilities

Reviewers are expected to:

  • Evaluate manuscripts objectively and professionally.
  • Provide constructive and clear feedback to authors.
  • Assess the originality, scientific quality, and relevance of the work.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all submitted materials.
  • Declare any potential conflict of interest before accepting the review task.
  • Complete the review within the specified review period.

Review Criteria

Reviewers should evaluate the manuscript based on the following aspects:

Originality

  • Is the work novel and innovative?
  • Does it contribute new knowledge to the field?

Technical Quality

  • Are the methods scientifically sound?
  • Are experiments and analyses properly conducted?

Clarity and Organization

  • Is the paper well-structured and clearly written?
  • Are figures and tables appropriate and understandable?

References

  • Are references relevant, recent, and properly cited?
  • Does the manuscript adequately discuss related work?

Ethical Compliance

  • Does the research comply with ethical standards?
  • Is there any indication of plagiarism or misconduct?

Review Recommendations

Reviewers may recommend one of the following decisions:

  • Accept Submission
  • Minor Revisions Required
  • Major Revisions Required
  • Reject Submission

All recommendations should be supported by clear comments and scientific justification.


Confidentiality Policy

All manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. Reviewers must not:

  • Share manuscripts with others.
  • Use unpublished data for personal research.
  • Upload confidential content to public AI tools or external systems.

Conflict of Interest

Reviewers should decline review invitations if they have:

  • Personal or professional relationships with the authors.
  • Financial conflicts of interest.
  • Competing research interests that may affect objectivity.

Ethical Standards for Reviewers

Reviewers should:

  • Maintain academic integrity.
  • Avoid biased or offensive comments.
  • Focus on scientific quality rather than personal criticism.
  • Report suspected plagiarism, duplicate publication, or unethical practices.

AI Usage Policy for Reviewers

Reviewers must not upload confidential manuscripts or unpublished data to public artificial intelligence systems or external platforms without editorial permission.

AI tools may only be used for limited language assistance while preserving confidentiality and reviewer responsibility.
